    This weekend the tenth edition of the 1.000 kilometres for Kom op tegen Kanker took place. The ten-man team ‘Wij tegen Kanker’ that we sponsor also cycled. “We felt like we had to do this after a close friend of us died way too soon from cancer”, tells cyclist Rudi Nolf. “To give meaning to his decease and to make a positive story out of this sad news, we decided to bike for charity.” The ten men raised more than 10.000 euros and will participate again next year.

    Kom op tegen Kanker is a Belgian initiative to help people who fight against cancer. In total 1.140 cycling teams raised a record amount of 5.7 million euros (!) for clinical research for the treatment of cancer patients.
